Social Media Stars

Being an avid social media participant I thought I would briefly share my top 5 sporting stars and sporting lovers to follow on Twitter for all the latest and greatest updates.

Twitter really has become the main form of social media sports stars use these days and it is an easy and quick way to communicate and converse with their fans.

1. Dan Carter - bit of a given really if you know me. Dan is only new to Twitter but is already a pro. Regular #DCPC are held for fans to get to know DC as well as ticket and merchandise giveaways as well as the odd pic of time away on tour.

2. Cory Jane - one of the original rugby players to hop on the Twitter bandwagon CJ is the king. Is probably one of the players that seems to reply to his fans the most and always has something to say.

3. Katrina Grant - one of my fave Silver Ferns with such an outgoing personality. Lets not forget that the famous "gangnam style" dance the Fast5 Ferns did before the final was submitted by fans on the social media outlet.

4. James McConie (CGW reporter) - James covers a wide variety of sports and gives a great insight into his cheeky personality. Always ready for a sporting discussion and a bit of banter.

5. Scotty "Sumo" Stevenson (Sky rugby commentator) - Scotty is great for all forms of the rugby game and in particular the Northern hemisphere competitions and the Sevens.

So get tweeting!
