Fast 5 Ferns Named

On Tuesday afternoon the Fast 5 Ferns were named for the up and coming tournament to defend there title in Auckland from November 7-10th at Vector Arena.

With the majority of the Silver Ferns being retained, we also have a couple of new faces in the group which is exciting for the future of our wonderful national team. 

It is surprising that they have gone with only 3 shooters, Cat Latu, Maria Tutaia and Anna Thompson as I expected to see the possiblity of a 4th with Thompson dropping back more into a midcourt role.

Not included from last years team includes, Kayla Cullen, Anna Harrison, IVD and Bailey Mes.

I absolutely loved the concept last year and have given some serious thoughts to heading up to Auckland to partake in the fun and the netball action.

I can't wait to see our girls defend last years title and wonder if we will see any outrageous entrances into the court as we saw with the Fast 5 Ferns turned Gangnam Style into last years final. Classic!
